Summary:
The coding specialist performs highly technical and specialized functions at Dickson Medical Associates. The employee reviews, analyzes, and codes diagnostic and procedural information that support Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement. The primary function of this position is to perform ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding for reimbursement for various medical specialties within the organization. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results. May be multi-credentialed in the area of Sonography.
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography
Required Certfications/Licensure:
Possession of a current registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography.
Preferred Certfications/Licensure:
Abdomen, RVT, and/or any other sonography credentials. BLS.
