Summary: The Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializes in performing cardiac stress testing to assist physicians in the diagnosis and assessment of heart function. This includes preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, acquiring and processing cardiac images, and maintaining equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Patient Care:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for cardiac studies.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
  • Educate patients about procedures and answer any questions they may have.
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to medications.


Cardiac Imaging Procedures:

  • Perform rest and stress MPI using exercise or pharmacologic stress.
  • Acquire high-quality cardiac images using specialized equipment.
  • Analyze and process cardiac images using computer software.
  • Prepare and interpret images for physician review.


Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine quality control checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment.


Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations related to the handling and use of radioactive materials.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.


Other Duties:

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and in-service training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.


Certification: Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RT(N)) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent certification.


Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a strong emphasis on cardiac procedures preferred.


Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of nuclear physics and radiobiology.
  • In-depth understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Expertise in cardiac nuclear medicine procedures

  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a variety of echocardiographic examinations in strict accordance with company policies and established clinical standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Scan, inspect, and record procedure results to ensure optimum diagnostic quality. Prepare and provide preliminary reports and images to the interpreting physician.
  • Equipment & Inventory: Assist in the routine maintenance and troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality. Monitor and maintain department supply inventory.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Echocardiographic Technician, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and clinical experience.
  • Certification/Registry:
    • Active registry/certification as a Cardiovascular Echo Technologist through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI/NSCT (RCS) is required.
    • Current CPR or BLS certification required.


Skills & Knowledge

  • Clinical Expertise: Strong fundamental knowledge of general ultrasound procedures and cardiovascular anatomy.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific data to physicians and maintain a comforting bedside manner with patients.
  • Autonomy & Organization: Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Job description

Under the direction of the Imaging Supervisor, the General/Vascular Sonographer will be performing general ultrasound procedures, diagnostic venous reflux exams, DVT exams, post treatment vein exams, vein mapping, and lower extremity arterial ultrasounds. In addition, the vascular sonographer will set up, assist, and provide guidance for vein ablation procedures.


Requirements

  • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT / RVS) required within 6 months of employment.
  • Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
  • At least one year of vascular ultrasound experience required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team.

Job Supervisory Responsibilities : LPNs and Medical Assistants


General Summary : An exempt, management position responsible for leading and directing nursing operations. This position will be responsible for all nursing staff, clinical nursing operations and the quality management program. May also have administrative responsibility for risk management.This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic medical group practice. As a member of our management team you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of duties including planning and supervision. As the Manager of Nursing Services and Quality Program coordination, you will directly oversee the productivity, budgeting, monitoring and reporting of all activities of these departments. You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and staff at all levels to provide a unified approach to patient care. You must be able to exercise discretion in delegating responsibilities to staff and foster ongoing rapport and communication with physicians and other providers, the DMA management team, nursing services members and other departments in order to provide sound information and support. You must ensure accuracy of documentation, reporting and analyses for assigned departments. Be an active participant in all operational areas as appointed (including any new initiatives) by preparing and presenting pertinent analyses. This position requires a high-energy individual with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate staff.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in planning, budgeting, policy making, and decision making related to operations involving nursing staff and quality programs. 
  • Integrates the principles and values of the continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs throughout the medical practice. 
  • Ensures that CQI efforts comply with program, regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Ensures that nursing aspects related to risk management, reimbursement, financial management, and other administrative functions are incorporated into operational systems. Monitors outcomes, budget results, patient satisfaction surveys, and other indicators of nursing performance.
  • Establishes a human resources plan for nursing including need for numbers and types of nurses and related allied health staff. 
  • Works with human resources specialist and team leaders to recruit, select, orient, and train new staff.
  • Makes sure the performance and productivity of all nursing staff are evaluated on a regular basis throughout the year and annually. 
  • Advises on appropriate corrective actions and development opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Quality Program Director to ensure data systems and programs satisfactorily support CQI activities, including maintaining QI tracking systems and database.
  • Consults with clinicians, administrators, and QI teams on CQI activities such as chart reviews and accurate and complete documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary.
  • Assists in the gathering and analysis of QI data from every clinical department, converts data into statistics for analysis. 
  • Provides feedback in person and via reports to departments on trends and needed corrective actions.
  • Supports Quality Programs Management committee, which regularly reviews data and prepares quarterly report.
  • Develops mission, goals, and budgets for the Quality Programs.
  • Identifies In collaboration with Contract Management and Business Development Quality Program opportunities, recognizes program achievements, and recommends program plan for next year.

Three to five years of nursing experience with progressively increasing management/operations experience with prior work related experience in health care, preferably in a Physician group environment. Three years supervisory experience desired.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse- Recovery to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures or medical treatments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and comfort during the recovery process. 

Duties

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the recovery phase.
  • Administer medications and manage pain effectively to enhance patient comfort.
  • Provide primary care and urgent care as needed, ensuring all patient needs are met promptly.
  • Assist in medical office procedures, including phlebotomy and medication administration.
  • Perform assessments and document patient progress in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, recovery, expectations, and follow-up appointments,
  • Utilize sonography skills when necessary to assist in patient assessments.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in pain management, primary care, or urgent care settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques is a plus.

Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Assists in overseeing patient care activities in the operating room and maintains a high standard of safety for the patient and other staff members.
