Essential Job Responsibilities
1. In coordination with the Director of Clinical Services, oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record documentation.
2. Collaborates with director of nursing services on development and implementation of nursing department's mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget quality assurance plan, and work standards.
3. Provides direct supervision to nurses and subordinate staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.
4. Collaborates with providers and nursing staff, such as chart reviews and accurate and complete documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary.
5. In coordination with the Director of Nursing, maintains high quality of care by nursing staff through continuous improvement of standards and protocols. Ensures all staff are trained in quality assurance/control requirements and meet these standards.
6. Creates and maintains schedules. Ensures adequate nursing coverage to meet clinical needs.
Requirements
Education: Graduate from accredited LPN program
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience with progressively increasing management/operations experience with prior work related experience in health care, preferably in a Physician group environment. Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
Other: Current state LPN license & CPR certification
Performance Requirements
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
2. Knowledge of federal, state, and payer regulations and requirements related to nursing including patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
